Those pieces of Drox’s armor that I made specifically for Drox, instead of pulling from other mods, have always had an extremely flat look to them. I’ve been meaning to fix that for a while. Today, I finally got annoyed enough with them to do something about it.
I honestly had no idea how they would turn out, considering what I did to put the normals together. Don’t ask how I did them, I just did a weird thing that came to mind, and the closest comparison I can think to give of how ridiculous the thing was is this: Imagine a person sitting at a computer, who is presented with a message on screen telling him to “press any key”, to which he responds, not by simply tapping a single key on the keyboard, but instead by forcefully smashing his face onto the keyboard, assuming that at least one of the keys gets pressed. What I did was nothing like that, but it seemed like a funny scenario to type out.
Anyway, the textures, I think worked out pretty well. They don’t really match the look of the normals on the Silverlight pieces, but that was intended, they’re meant to be different (and I don’t think I could match that look anyway, my texture skills are nowhere near the point that I could actually do something cool on purpose).
Also, if any of the above text made no sense whatsoever, it’s because I decided it would be a good idea to only get two hours of sleep in the past two days
